Steph is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1995 with her Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She worked in a variety of settings over the years from schools and in-patient rehab centers to skilled nursing facilities and in home health. She found her love with the home health setting and the tremendous impact it has on the children she treats. Therapy Talk was founded in 2007 with Steph as the only Speech Language Pathologist. As more clients found Therapy Talk, Steph realized the business needed to grow in order to serve more children in all areas of development. Consequently, the other disciplines of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy were added to the Therapy Talk family. Pediatric feeding/swallowing and apraxia of speech are two areas she loves to focus on, but she has treated all types of receptive and expressive language disorder, fluency disorders, pragmatic disorders and has worked with a wide variety of children with special needs. Steph is married to Robert and has four kids: Colin, Jackson, Kylie and Banks, and a furry pup, Beck. She enjoys running, yoga, traveling, being outside on the water and spending time with family and friends.
Bridget knew she wanted to be a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), in 2007 when she was teaching Special Education and working alongside her students’ SLP. In 2011, she received her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has been with Therapy Talk ever since! In addition to teaching children speech and language skills, Bridget enjoys teaching yoga to her patients in her sessions as well as to others. Some of her additional favorite things include: her hubby, walking her dogs and eating nachos and spending time with Zoe and Winnie. Bridget is not only a SLP, but an amazing Yoga instructor in Charlotte.
Kaitlan has been a pediatric speech language pathologist since 2014. She received her Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2011, and she received her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State University in 2014. She lives in Concord, NC with her husband David, their son Jacob, and their dog Payton. Kaitlan is passionate about orofacial myofunctional disorders, literacy, and fostering play skills. Outside of being an SLP, Kaitlan enjoys reading, traveling, and being a mama.

Christine graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2006 and finished graduate school for speech-language pathology at UNC-Greensboro in 2009. She loves working closely with children and their families, and really enjoys seeing children’s personalities develop as their communication skills improve. Christine is originally from Concord, and is happy to be back living in Concord again with her husband Nick, children Simon and Naomi, and their cat Smoky.
Laura has lived all over the country. Laura received her undergrad from Columbus State University in Columbus, GA and a master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Medical University of South Carolina. After grad school she ended up in the Kannapolis area. She has worked in multiple settings including acute care with pediatrics and adults and found her love for pediatrics after that. She loves all types of therapy however; autism and feeding are the two areas she loves to focus on. When not treating Laura loves spending time with her husband and sweet little girl Charlotte. She also loves to travel, read, and the beach.
Morgan graduated Appalachian State University with her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology and Western Carolina University with her Bachelors in Communication Science Disorders. She loves pediatric feeding and swallowing, and has experience with dysphagia from birth to end of life. Morgan is also well-versed in various communication disorders and has experience with AAC, ADHD, Apraxia of speech, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, chromosomal abnormalities, Down Syndrome, genetic disorders, traumatic brain injuries, etc. Morgan is married and has two fur babies. She is a Concord native and loves her community. Outside of being an SLP, Morgan enjoys exercising, traveling, and being outdoors.
Laney earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2021, and she earned her Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2023. While she was born and raised in Alabama, she and her husband have moved to North Carolina in 2024 and have enjoyed this new season of life! Laney is passionate about working with children as she seeks to improve their overall speech, language, and literacy skills. Outside of being a speech-language pathologist, Laney enjoys books, grabbing coffee with friends, trying new restaurants with her husband, and her cat, Spec.
Shannon is from High Point, NC, but lives in Concord, NC where she lives with her husband, her son, and 2 dogs. Shannon received her undergraduate degree at Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in recreational therapy. She attended graduate school in Tampa, FL at Nova Southeastern University where she received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. During her time in graduate school, she specialized in working with the pediatric population with a focus in Ayres’ Sensory Integration. Shannon has previous experience working with children in the clinic, home, and daycare setting and has been with Therapy Talk since January 2022. Outside of work Shannon enjoys traveling to different national and international destinations, and spending time with friends and family.
Rebekah graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science with a concentration in Health Studies and a Minor in Family Studies. She continued her education at South University in Richmond, VA and graduated with an Associate’s degree of Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Rebekah is licensed through the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapy. She completed two fieldwork assignments in pediatric settings and has been working with children/adolescents for four years. Her other fieldwork assignments included inpatient rehab and home health. She has experience working with children with diagnoses that include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, developmental delay, depression, eating disorders, Sensory Processing Dysfunction, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Rebekah lives in Mooresville and loves exploring everything the city has to offer!
Megan graduated from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in 2018 as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She completed Level 1 and Level 2 Fieldwork rotations in Pediatrics with experience in schools and home health, and completed Level 2 Fieldwork in a Rehabilitative Facility with adults. During her time at school she attained several certifications, including an Educator of Infant Massage Certification. She has experience working with Autism, ADHD, Developmental Disabilities, Down Syndrome. Megan has always been enthusiastic about working in Pediatrics. Outside of work she enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring what the world has to offer.
Christian is a wonderful OTR who has several years of Pediatric experience. After attending UNC Chapel Hill, Christian entered Lenoir Rhyme to become an Occupational Therapist. She has experience working with children with Autism, Developmental Disabilities, ADHD, Behavior Regulation issues, and fine motor delays. She recently got married, and we are so excited to share in her joy!
Madisen is a Concord native and graduated from Cabarrus College of Health Sciences in May 2019 and received her license and certification as a COTA/L shortly after. She has a background working with the geriatric community and has an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood (Birth through Kindergarten) and spent several years working with children of all ages while also parenting her now 7-year-old daughter. Madisen has a passion for working with children of all ages. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, being outdoors whether that’s hiking or relaxing in a hammock and crafting.
Brookelynn graduated from Mars Hill University in Mars Hill, NC where she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science with a concentration in occupational therapy. She continued her education at Rowan Cabarrus Community college in Salisbury, NC and graduated with an Associate’s degree of Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Brookelynn is licensed through the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapy. She completed her fieldwork assignments in the pediatric and inpatient rehab. Rebekah lives in Monroe, NC and just recently got married!
Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, Alyssa received her Bachelor’s in Human Sciences and Education with a minor in Psychology in May of 2021 from Louisiana State University. She then went onto obtain her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge graduating in May of 2024. After graduation, she moved to the Charlotte/Concord area to be close to her fiancé, Nick and their dog, Oakley! She has experience in many settings of physical therapy, but has found an ultimate love for pediatrics, especially helping little ones make BIG moves! Her initial love for pediatrics began while volunteering at Camp Dream Street, which is a sleep-away summer camp for kids with physical and/or mental disabilities in Utica, Mississippi! She enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, playing with her pup, Oakley, reading, going to the beach, or relaxing by the pool!
Hello, my name is Bennice Tipton. I am a Licensed PTA in the state of NC; I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 1994 and Caldwell Community College 1995. I have been a PTA for over 23 years. I have worked in all areas of Physical Therapy over the years and truly love being a therapist. I have been married for 18 years to an amazing man and we have two teenage boys. My oldest son was born profoundly deaf and our family has been learning sign language for 16 years now. I have found that my experience as a mother with a special needs child helps me to better relate with my families and have found that sign language a is very useful tool when working with children of all ages and diagnoses.
Lily is our Bilingual Therapist with being a native Spanish speaker. She has a passion for "her babies." Lily loves to work with children and is a huge asset to the Therapy Talk team.
Gail is the mom of two amazing older boys and is Steph’s right hand woman! Therapy Talk could not survive without Gail’s attention to all issues regarding billing and insurance. She is an essential part of the the Therapy Talk team with her positivity and laughter.
Didi joins the Therapy Talk team with years of experience in the Mecklenburg Pre-K program. She is a true asset with her warmth, spreadsheet expertise and native Spanish speaking. Give us a text at the office. It is probably Didi you are corresponding. Didi is married and lives in Charlotte with her husband and two teenage kids.
Beck is from Mocksville, NC and lives in Concord with her mom, dad, and four siblings. She is a lover of balls, frisbees, giving kisses on little noses, and getting her zoomies on. Beck makes frequent visits to the clinic and will be your best friend whether you feel you need one or not. She especially loves escaping the billing office to visit her therapist buddies and their hardworking little clients. WILL WORK FOR HUGS!
